Rehabilitation Engineer

Description

Provides technical advice to health care professionals and patients on equipment for the disabled and designs and manufactures rehabilitative equipment. Evaluates patients for postural support, communication, mobility, vocational, environmental control and other needs. Provides training to patients, family members, nurses and therapists on proper use of equipment. This Classification requires registration, certification or licensure with the appropriate agency as identified on the Primary Source Verification Matrix. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
