Dental Assistant Associate

Description

Receives and prepares patients for dental treatment. Assembles, sharpens, and sterilizes instruments and prepares work surfaces and materials for use by the dentist. Keeps records of appointments, examinations, treatments, and supplies. May assist a dentist at chairside in the treatment of patients. This work requires some basic knowledge of standardized procedures and methods used in dentistry and skill in the techniques and procedures of dental assisting. A certificate of completion from an accredited dental assisting program is desired. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
