Performance Hall Operations Manager

Description

Under general supervision, responsible for all aspects of the backstage usage or a performance hall and its house theatrical equipment with regards to touring attractions, local productions and other events. Identifies appropriate resources needed and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of a production. Evaluates proposed courses of action by users, which may affect the safe operation of specialized theatrical equipment and life-safety and fire-safety of the occupants of the building and public. Employees must have knowledge on counterweight systems, sound systems, lighting systems, head-set systems and stage lifts. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
