Description

Performs financial analysis to be used for strategic decision making, more accurate product testing, identifying opportunities for cost savings or more efficient methods and understanding how activities and their cost are linked to products, processes, and customers. Tracks monthly costs and production activity to provide insight into areas needing cost reduction and process or profit improvement. 5 - 8 years of professional experience. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments. Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. Labor market typical education and experience: Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position. Employees typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
