Description

Administers risk management and loss prevention programs to maintain maximum protection of the organization's assets at the most economical rates. Investigates and reports on accidents involving organization products, in coordination with insurance companies and attorneys. Assists in the review and analysis of insurance and risk management programs for effectiveness of coverage and to reduce insurance costs and losses. 2 - 5 years of professional experience. Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
