Clinical Information Reporting Senior

Description

Gathers data and produces reports of cost and quality of care. Works with data from many different clinical and administrative sources and has expertise to merge and manage data from these sources. Also performs text searches of electronic medical records to facilitate efforts to report clinically-relevant measures. Develops, tests and implements complex algorithms to produce measures that are essential to identify opportunities to improve cost and quality of care, including measures that describe process and outcomes of care and physician variation in practice patterns. Prepares detailed datasets to support analyses and development of strategies to improve performance. Is an expert in managing and reporting health care data and has detailed understanding of data sources and measurement methodologies. Has well-developed skills in using statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS), database query tools and reporting software. Labor market typical education and experience: Has a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a recognized field which is directly related to the duties of the position and at least 5 years of experience. UM minimum education and experience: Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position. Employees typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
