Participates as a member of non-invasive cardiology. Under direct supervision, assists in and performs a variety of routine cardiology procedures; i.e., Doppler echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, trans-esophageal echocardiograms, and other duties necessary for the satisfactory completion of patient care and success of the program. (Graduate of a Cardiac Ultrasound program. If a Registered Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonographer: 6 months echocardiography experience. If a graduate of an Ultrasound program: 1 year echocardiography experience and pass written echocardiogram exam, pass practical echocardiogram exam. One year experience in doppler echocardiography, trans-esophageal and stress echocardiography preferred. Registered or registry eligible in doppler echocardiography, trans-esophageal or stress echocardiography. Must become registered within 1 year. ACLS preferred, must obtain within 1 year.)
