Test Analyst

Description

Provides statistical services to large-scale testing programs; runs analyzes in most common assessment and statistical packages; provides advice and routine statistical analyses; helps interpret statistical output; ensures the veracity of data. Assists in writing technical and research reports; directs or participates in project teams to develop and employ methods to estimate and predict outcomes. Typically requires a Masters degree in educational measurement, applied statistics, or a related field. Labor market typical education and experience: Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position. Employees typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
