QA Transcription Analyst

Description

Coordinate and review randomly transcribed or edited reports against actual dictation, applying industry-specific standards using current resources and references. Provide timely and consistent feedback to agencies in order to eliminate repetition of errors and notify the manager of areas of concerns. Recognize, interpret, and evaluate inconsistencies, discrepancies, and inaccuracies in medical dictation, and appropriately clarify and/or report them as required. Typically requires a high school education with a minimum of five years of transcription experience in an acute-care hospital setting. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
