Technology Customer Relationship Manager Senior

Description

Builds and sustains trusted relationships with key contacts in complex customer organizations to develop a deep understanding of their academic and administrative work, and related technology needs. Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, available services, relevant business processes, and commonalities that cross-organizational boundaries. The relationship manager uses this knowledge in developing business plans and proposals for relevant services, and influences IT planning, service development, service expectations, and IT operations to better meet customers' needs. Participates in strategic planning and setting of technical direction for the department and makes independent decisions that impact operations. Performs limited project management, including resource and time estimates. Proactively anticipates and resolve problems, and creates conditions and processes to support change. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
