Description
Provides leadership and supervision for the programmatic, consultative and analytical operations in a Diversity and Inclusion functional subject matter specialty area. Provides expertise and consultation to campus constituencies and leadership to create, develop and support best practice standards. Resolves complex cases/conflicts among constituencies, involving the complex interpretation and application of regulations, policies and practices. Manages the application of established Diversity/Inclusion policies and practices in a functional area. May supervise and set performance standards for assigned staff. Ensures operation and service performance standards, seeks ongoing improvement to service deliveries and contributes significantly to the refinement of Diversity/Inclusion policies and practices. Regularly reviews and forms observations from data to make recommendations for refinement and influence Diversity/Inclusion policies and practices. Ensures reports are in conformance with legislated requirements or organizational needs. Education and experience: Bachelor degree and 5 to 7 years related experience. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
