Veterinary Technician Lead

Description

Performs complex clinical work in the treatment and medical care of laboratory animals, trains research staff on experimental procedures, administers drugs and performs standard surgical procedures, monitors animal health and environmental conditions, and schedules and conducts standard tests. May also coordinate moderately complex projects while providing scheduled and unscheduled coverage in absence of assigned vet tech. Assists in conducting and training of surgeries in ASOR. Identifies and fills needs/gaps for consistent care during week, weekends and holidays. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
