Description
Provide direct service support to families, students and individuals from intake through resolution. Conduct initial assessment meetings with students, family members, faculty, staff, and other constituents regarding a community member of concern or critical incident (e.g., crisis management, harassment, discrimination, etc.) to determine appropriate response, available support, and referral options. Assess individuals' needs and assist them with identifying, locating, organizing, accessing and utilizing necessary campus and/or community services and resources. Develop and maintain relationships with campus and community service providers. Evaluate individuals' progress over time and may prepare reports and act as an advocate. Employees in this position may utilize specialized knowledge of subject area. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
