Financial Aid Administrator Intermediate

Description

Implement financial aid programs, policies and procedures and provide assistance and expertise in the development of new programs. Determine eligibility for institutional, federal and state aid programs using all available analytical tools and professional discretion, while maintaining compliance with current federal and state regulations and University policies. Evaluate a family's financial strength by analyzing income from all sources and assets using personal and business tax returns, cash flow statements, balance sheets, etc. to make adjustments on a case-by-case basis to the cost of attendance or the values of the data items required to calculate the expected student or parent contribution (or both) to allow for treatment of an individual eligible applicant with special circumstances. May determine various scholarship matches and opportunities. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years experience. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
