Ensembles Coordinator

Description

Responsible for the development and ongoing management of the ensembles program. Develops the program budget, staffing requirements and ensures the programs meet their stated objectives. Coordinates with conductors in formulating ensembles' dress rehearsals and performance schedules working closely with the scheduling coordinator to make sure venues are secured. Provide up-to-date, detailed time schedules of the ensembles' use of the auditoria. Coordinates all equipment moves for ensembles and other events as needed. Coordinates all aspects of ensemble tours including personnel, travel arrangements, venue and instrument logistics. Requires bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in managing complex programs. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
