Description
Provides assistance in preparing legal documents. Performs routine legal research and compiles data from such references as digests, encyclopedias, practice manuals or other sources. Prepares drafts of contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, insurance, employment, and related matters. Maintains file system for annual meetings and drafts documents for such meetings, including notices, proxies, affidavits of mailing, agendas, ballots, shareholders and directors minutes and related memoranda. Education: 2 years of formal legal training or equivalent. NOTE: This is not the position of Legal Secretary. 0-2 years professional experience. Entry level for employees with J.D. or LL.B. or equivalent. Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. May prepare briefs and documents or draw up contracts for review and evaluation by others. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
