Paralegal/Legal Assistant Senior

Description

Provides assistance in preparing legal documents. Performs routine legal research and compiles data from such references as digests, encyclopedias, practice manuals or other sources. Prepares drafts of contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, insurance, employment, and related matters. Maintains file system for annual meetings and drafts documents for such meetings, including notices, proxies, affidavits of mailing, agendas, ballots, shareholders and directors minutes and related memoranda. Education: 2 years of formal legal training or equivalent. 5 - 8 years of professional experience. Specializes in a particular area, such as litigation, tax, patent, etc. Acts in advisory capacity, making recommendations which may have an important bearing on the conduct of the organization's business. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
