Workforce Planning Specialist Intermediate

Description

Under general supervision, assists in analyzing talent requirements via forecasting plans that the organization needs to execute their business strategy. Discusses staffing needs with units and advises on appropriate actions to plan for openings. May evaluate future needs for succession planning, retirement eligible staff, high leadership potential, etc. Participates in the development of advertising and other recruitment and outreach strategies to attract diverse candidate pools to meet both departmental and organizational strategic staffing goals. Actively seeks to expand program services for the organization, working within identified department parameters. Reviews data available on internal and external market conditions; develops basic plans, tools or materials to provide to managers for use in retaining staff members. Understands how environmental factors impact an organization. Typically requires a Bachelor degree and two to five years of experience. Independently applies knowledge or skills to common situations. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed in conjunction with the Senior or Lead which affect business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
