Adaptive Sports Head Coach

Description

The Head Coach will be responsible for all phases of a specific Adaptive Sports program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to identifying, evaluating, and selecting qualified prospective student-athletes, supporting the academic progress of student-athletes, coaching and preparing student-athletes to compete, scheduling of games, and managing the operating budget. Plans and conducts practices and practice schedules. In addition, the Head Coach will be responsible for managing relationships with existing internal and external partners to support the growth of Adaptive Sports programs. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision-making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
