Description

Designs and constructs relational databases for data warehousing. Develops data modeling and is responsible for data acquisition and access analysis and design; and archive, recovery, and load strategy design and implementation. Coordinates new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structure. Reviews business requests for data and data usage, researches data sources for new and better data feeds. Assists in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality. More than 8 years professional experience. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments. Has well-developed leadership qualities. Plans, conducts and supervises assignments, generally involving the larger and more important projects or more than one project. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Schedules and may supervise project work. Evaluates progress and results and recommends major changes in procedures. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
