Solution Architect Intermediate

Description

Partners with business analysts, systems analysts, process managers and engineers in requirements gathering and reviews. Works with enterprise architecture, application and infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual design for the project. Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into a service model, or architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives. Develops enterprise level solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms or services and processes. Proposes changes in process, policy and standards as they relate to the architecture or service and design principles. Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and solutions, or service lifecycle and process frameworks to solve business problems. Responsible for critical work and/or complex projects performed within a broader technical and business context related to service design or process. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
