Description
Responsible for program development and associated marketing strategies for the health/disability programs provided. May conduct research and write professional articles. Provide strategic content and resource medical expertise in health, disability, and productivity program areas that may include prevention, risk reduction, safety, regulatory compliance, health care awareness and education, occupational health, return to work disease management, disability management and case management. Evaluates medical issues and utilizes clinical reasoning to develop, plan, implement and evaluate strategies to achieve expected, qualitative and quantitative, clinical, productivity and business outcomes. Develop, implement and evaluate innovative strategies that enhance the customer's ability to support their employees, clients, or patients to maintain or return to maximized health and productivity through effective use of health care services and resources. Achieves established outcomes as defined by the customer. Work with customers to develop new lines of business and develop marketing strategies to improve revenue and customer service goals for the customer. Serve as an expert resource to other Health Management Consultants. Provide leadership educational programs on health, disability, and productivity management. Extensive knowledge and understanding of health/disability program requirements is necessary. UM minimum education and experience: Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position. Employees typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
