Description
Manages complex cases and initiatives that impact institutional policy or compliance. Plans, directs, and has oversight for the administration of all programs and services ensuring compliance with ADA and provides leadership and consultation in promoting access for persons with disabilities. Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. Uses critical thinking and analytic skills to recommend and solve difficult or complex problems. Anticipates customer needs, assesses requirements, and solves complex situations. Serves as an escalation resource for less experienced employees. Explains difficult issues and may work to build consensus. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision-making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
