Description
Develops, recommends, and implements health education programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge relating to the improvement of health on an individual, family or community basis. Keeps abreast of changes in health care technology and shifts in health care emphasis to maintain timeliness of health education programs. Labor market typical education and experience: Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position. Employees typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
