Description
Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements. Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules. Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits. Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids. Negotiates contracts and amendments with customer or bidder. Coordinates work of various departments, and acts as liaison between company and subcontractors to implement fulfillment of contracts. 2 - 5 years of professional experience. Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
