Contract Administrator Senior

Description

Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements. Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules. Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits. Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids. Negotiates contracts and amendments with customer or bidder. Coordinates work of various departments, and acts as liaison between company and subcontractors to implement fulfillment of contracts. 5 - 8 years of professional experience. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments. Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
