Budget Analyst Associate

Description

Prepares operating budgets for units or departments based on actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports and other factors. Reviews expenditures of requisitioning departments to ensure conformance to budgetary limitations. Maintains records of expenses, inventories and budget balances. Audits vouchers and expense accounts. Maintains records of actual operating figures for comparison with estimated budget. Assists in the installation of budgetary control systems. Utilizes computer to input, retrieve, or display budget information. 0 - 2 years of professional experience. Entry level for degreed individuals, or equivalent combination. Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks. Work is routine and instructions are usually detailed. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
