Inventory Control Clerk Senior

Description

Maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Provides information to determine status of current orders and to forecast needs for future orders. Compiles records of amount, type, and value of material or stock on hand. Monitors reorder points, and initiates action to replenish stock. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories. Notifies supervisor of irregularities and when stock reaches designated reorder point. Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of inventories and computes inventory balances, prices and costs. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. 5 or more years of experience in position. Applies advanced skills to the position within assigned functional area. Adapts procedures, processes and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position. Duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity. Assignments are broad in nature and usually require originality and ingenuity. May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
