Ethics & Compliance Lead

Description

Designs, develops, implements and promotes awareness of the organization's business ethics policies. Monitors the organization's standards of conduct and ethical relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, employees and the communities in which business is conducted. Reviews summaries of investigations into allegations of unethical activity from various sources and recommends safeguards to prevent future breaches of the organization's ethics policies. Recognized as a subject matter expert, usually acquired through extensive work experience. Manages large projects, processes, or activities; Coaches, trains, and assigns work as a team lead. Progression to this level is typically restricted based on business need. Most jobs require a bachelor's, master's, or PhD/JD/MD. Specified degrees should be related to the work being performed. Contains depth of skills necessary to interpret business issues and recommend best practices, process improvements, new technologies, and/or products. Works independently to prioritize, organize, and make decisions related to projects and teams. Uses critical thinking and analytic skills to solve difficult or complex problems. Recommends solutions using a creative perspective. Anticipates customer needs and identifies creative solutions to solve complex situations. Serves as escalation resource for less experienced employees. Explains difficult concepts and influences others to adopt a different point of view. This job is exempt under FLSA. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
