Description
Assists in the development and coordination of the annual giving portion of the comprehensive fundraising programs of assigned units. Assists with planning, creating, scheduling, and evaluating productive, high-quality, cost-effective annual fund solicitation packages for assigned units. Works with unit development officers, deans, directors, department heads, or development services personnel to plan and implement annual giving programs using direct mail, Telefund, and Internet strategies. Works with units to provide budget projections and estimates of results. Analyzes performance of select annual giving programs. Evaluates annual acquisition, retention, and upgrade strategy effectiveness. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
