Description
Under general supervision, researches, identifies, and plans the creation, promotion, implementation, and measurement of marketing communication programs for assigned products or brands consistent with overall organizational strategic goals. Independently, consults with and advises department units and the organization to create goal-based marketing communication strategies, activities and programs for assigned products or brands. Works with outside vendors to develop, create, implement and measure marketing communication materials in support of assigned product(s) or brand(s). Responsible for preparing reports related to communication effectiveness, cost of programs, etc. Has a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and five to eight years of professional experience directly related to the duties of the position. Applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
