Collection Interviewer

Description

Handles and collects loan debt and/or account debt. Follows federal due diligence steps such as making appropriate telephone calls, written communications, acceleration letters, and submitting accounts to collection agencies as appropriate. Service incoming requests, including handling incoming phone calls, assisting walk in customers, responding to emails and written correspondence from borrowers and third parties. Counsel borrowers, their representatives and other university units, and outside agencies on rights and responsibilities, and payment of loans and other debts. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
