Description
All Senior skills, with additional leadership and management skills. Perform all Senior tasks plus taking responsibility for directing one or more important functions within the organization (e.g. lead analyst supervising all analysis operations, or lead software developer supervising all pipeline development). Function as domain expert for one or more important functions within the organization. Create work breakdown structures to prioritize work, coordinate resources, and track progress across large programs/initiatives. Typically manage and supervise analysts; mentor more junior staff; review and supervise their activities to ensure consistency and performance. Employees in this classification are required to have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position. Employees typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
