Network Control Technician Senior

Description

Under general direction, responsible for the most complex testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications devices, lines, modems, and terminals). Monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources. Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance. May function in a lead capacity within the department. Provides guidance and direction for less-experienced Network Control Technicians. May assume duties and responsibilities of Network Control Supervisor in his/her absence, including staff supervision and vendor interface. Typically requires four to six years of experience. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
