LAN Administrator Intermediate

Description

Installs, maintains and monitors the operation of the organization's local area network. Evaluates vendor products in hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment and recommends purchases consistent with the organization's short- and long-term objectives. Recommends and implements LAN policies and standards and ensures adherence to security procedures. Maintains contact with outside organizations in the maintenance, service and/or purchase of the LAN. Trains users on LAN operations and procedures. 1-3 years professional experience. Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
