Clinical Business Analyst Staff Specialist

Top level contributor with expertise in particular clinical and/or application processes which are critical to the system design, scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and industry requirements. Acts independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing guidance concerning the clinical and business implications of the application as it relates to clinical workflow and/or various systems. Provides consulting on complex projects. Devises and/or modifies procedures to solve the most complex problems related to the integration of systems with clinical care utilizing their clinical background and knowledge of The Joint Commission requirements, other health care compliance regulations and electronic medical record. Creates detailed specifications from which clinical processes will be written and helps design system functionality to meet those needs. Responsible for quality assurance and quality improvement efforts in defined circumstances. A Master's Degree in a relevant allied health discipline and 7+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
