Battery Engineer Senior

Description

Responsible for leading battery development engineering (integrating electrochemical, process and mechanical concepts and technologies) and business technology planning and implementation. Ensures evaluation, introduction and acceptance of new materials, new tooling and fixtures. Prepares and modifies Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the product operation instructions. Prepares and modifies Bill of Materials (BOM) for assembly parts and sample production. Conducts product's operational testing and data analysis (charging and discharging capacity, product cycle life and failure analysis). Designs and optimizes product's thermal management scheme, completes simulation and testing work with theoretical calculation. Models product's efficiency and service life. Applies best practices and in-depth knowledge and experience to manage projects and processes and activities. Coaches, trains, and reviews the work of less experienced employees. May represent the level at which career may stabilize for many years or until retirement. Many jobs require a bachelor's degree, but some do not. Specified degrees should be related to the work being performed. Utilizes conceptual and practical experience for more than one activity, process, or function. Works independently to prioritize, organize, and make decisions related to own work and the team to meet objectives. Uses critical thinking and analytic skills to recommend and solve difficult or complex problems. Anticipates customer needs, assesses requirements, and solves complex situations. Serves as escalation resource for less experienced employees. Explains difficult issues and may work to build consensus. This job is exempt under FLSA.
