Utilization Review Technician

Description

Analyze unbilled accounts held for authorization and those which have been billed and rejected for authorization reasons. Initiate appropriate interventions to obtain authorization. Contact payers regarding cases and document outcomes. Assists in the overall utilization review function by assisting appeals staff with identifying level of care and possible denial issues. Prepare and disseminating reports, answering correspondence and maintenance of appropriate records. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
