Multimedia Designer

Description

Design and develop strategic communications (print, web, multimedia) that visually and contextually communicate organization and unit messages. Create and present original concepts and designs for high-end print and multimedia projects and campaigns, including view-books, case statements, annual reports, brochures, websites, and Flash presentations. Create content hierarchies for most effective delivery of message. Assess and determine client's communication needs and make appropriate recommendations based on overall communications strategies. Work as a team with project managers, copywriters, production managers, web developers and vendors. Communicate processes and budget updates to clients. Direct and or train lower level designers and freelance designers to maintain design standards and meet client communication needs. Employees in this classification typically perform work requiring invention, imagination, originality, or talent in a recognized field of artistic or creative endeavor. Primary activities involve a high degree of creativity with broad leeway to develop an original work product. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
