Polysomnographic Technician Registered

Description

Independently performs routine and specialized overnight polysomnograms (PSG's), multiple sleep latency tests, and to ensure patient safety. Scores PSG's according to established guidelines and protocols. Supervises and provides technical expertise to non-registered Polysomnographic Technicians. Participate in sleep research protocols. Duties include application of recording devices to the patient, cleaning, sterilization, and calibration of equipment. Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is necessary. This position requires Primary Source Verification. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
