Dental Laboratory Technician

Description

Under direct supervision, responsible for fabrication and repair of dental/fixed removable prostheses, filling casts, vacuum forming or laminating, establishing initial trims and other functions. Wax and cast fixed restoration using analog models. Use CAD/CAM software and/or 3D printer to scan, design, and fabricate dental restorations. Maintain milling and printing equipment and may print resin models. Follow the lab prescription accurately and quality control working master models and digital scans submitted to the laboratory. Develop and follow lab protocols and safety standards. Typically possesses certification as a dental technician (CDT). Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
