Dental Assistant Senior

Description

Receives and prepares patients for dental treatment. Prepares work surfaces and materials for use by the dentist. Assists a dentist at chairside in the treatment of patients. Assists with the oral examination and charting under the supervision of the dentist. Performs dental radiography work. May assist in the development and revision of training procedures and assist in the training of dental students. Keeps records of appointments, examinations, treatments, and supplies. Requires a certificate of completion from an accredited dental assisting program. An Associate's degree in Dental Assisting is desired. At least two years dental assisting experience, radiography certification, and a CDA and/or RDA certification are required. This Classification requires registration, certification or licensure with the appropriate agency as identified on the Primary Source Verification Matrix. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
