Training Specialist Intermediate

Description

Administers, organizes and conducts training and educational programs in connection with management and promotional development, on-the-job training, and employee orientation. Maintains records of training activities and employee progress and monitors effectiveness of programs. The senior levels of this position may design and develop in-house programs. 2 - 5 years of professional experience. Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
