Description

Under general supervision, carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements. Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Documents and works to resolve all problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Performs work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Employees are not involved in the operation, repair, or maintenance of computer hardware, networks, or equipment. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
