Under direction of the Assistant Vice President and Secretary, serve as a crucial catalyst for facilitating dialogue, promoting transparency, and advancing the university's mission and values through effective governance practices. Participate as a board professional and diplomat of governance, entrusted with fostering an environment of effective communication and collaboration between the Board of Regents, the university administration, and the broader university community. Tasked with overseeing critical functions essential to the university's operational integrity and strategic advancement, navigates complex governance structures and orchestrate seamless logistical arrangements. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
