Description
Responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and programs to promote the organization's products and services. Analyzes markets to identify opportunities, determine product requirements, and inform marketing strategies. Creates or coordinates the production and distribution of advertising and promotional materials. Gathers and analyzes marketplace trends and customer data. Applies best practices and in-depth knowledge and experience to manage projects and processes and activities. Coaches, trains, and reviews the work of less experienced employees. Utilizes conceptual and practical experience for more than one activity, process, or function. Works independently to prioritize, organize, and make decisions related to own work and the team to meet objectives. Uses critical thinking and analytic skills to recommend and solve difficult or complex problems. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision-making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Employees are not involved in the operation, repair, or maintenance of computer hardware, networks, or equipment. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
