Description
Under minimum supervision, assist management in directing the research, identification, planning and the creation, promotion, implementation, and measurement of marketing communication programs for assigned products or brands consistent with overall organizational strategic goals. Consults with and advises department units and the organization to create goal-based marketing communication strategies, activities and programs for assigned products or brands. Works with outside vendors to develop, create, implement and measure marketing communication materials in support of assigned product(s) or brand(s). Acts as a team lead by coordinating team activity and scheduling, prioritizing work assignments, monitoring progress, and mentoring less experienced Product or Brand Analysts. Prepares and/or directs the preparation of reports related to communications effectiveness, cost of new programs, and assists in the development of departmental budgets. Has a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and more than eight years of professional experience directly related to the duties of the position. Applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of complex assignments. Employees in this classification typically analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free from immediate direction, within the scope of their responsibilities. Primary activities and decision making authority are predominantly performed independently affecting business operations to a substantial degree. Under FLSA, this is the exempt job classification for this title. Incumbents in this position must meet the full criteria for exempt status: salary level, salary basis, and duties tests.
